Who Should Attend?
Trading Card Championship Players
- Play in a big event! You will play an estimated average of 10 games of Pokémon! More for Masters division players. We’re expecting 40 Juniors, 60 Seniors and 250 Masters.
- Side events! These begin round 5 on Saturday and round 2 Sunday! You can even pick up championship points in our League Challenge on Sunday.
- Many chances to win. Door Prizes abound; see our door prize page. Masters, no matter how well you’re doing (or not), you get a chance to play for a pack in the last round.
Video Game Championship Players
- Play in a big event! Last SoCal regional had over 600 players. We promise Saturday swiss rounds will finish in the early evening at latest this year!
- Side events! You can pick up championship points in our Premiere Challenge on Sunday. Many chances to win. Door Prizes abound; see our door prize page.
Parents and rides
- There is a set of booths and tables for you over in one corner of our huge venue. You can relax there. Venue WiFi is limited, so please bring something self contained to do.
- You will need a wristband, so please come through the registration with your player. Each championship player can get up to 3 wrist bands (1 for the driver and 2 for immediate family).
- You’re welcome to sign up for side events.
Pokémon Fans – Come to the Community Expo on Sunday
- Big fan? Watch championship finals matches on the big screen.
- Learn to play? Participate in Video Game and Trading Card Game demos.
- Love the monsters? Draw them in our creative center!
- Know how to play? Get the flavor of Pokemon competition by playing in side events.
- Are you a collector? Visit our vendors and trade with our players.
What Does It Cost?
Admission – All persons need a wristband to enter the hall
Everyone needs a wristband to enter the hall. Once you get it, keep it on!
How can you get a wristband? There are 5 types of admission to our event!
- Trading Card Championship Masters – Register online.
Wristbands $20 at the ticket booth – (includes any constructed TCG or VG side event). Also, see Bulk below. - Trading Card Championship Junior / Senior – Register online. Wristbands FREE at check-in.
- Video Game Championship Player – Register online. Wristbands FREE at check-in.
- Parent or Ride – No online registration. Limit 1 driver & 2 immediate family. Come through the check-in line with your player, and to get your wristband.
- Community Expo – Sunday only. No online registration. Wristbands $5 at the ticket booth.
Bulk Pokemon Cards as Master’s TCG Championship Admission
For the upcoming Southern California Regional Championship, PokeBulk will be accepting 400 Pokemon cards in exchange for a Masters TCG Admission Wristband to enter the event.
Find the bulk pay table near the ticket booth of the event prior to check in time.
Only be accepting near mint, English language, and non-“World Championship Deck” Pokemon cards. (trainer, supporters, and special energy cards will also be accepted).
A digital scale will be used to weigh out the appropriate number of cards, so please make sure you bring an adequate amount. Any excess cards will be returned to the player along with your wristband. There will not be a limit to the number of wristbands we hand out. You can bring bulk to sell later at the event but only bulk for Masters TCG Admission payment will be accepted at the ticket booth.
Tip to save you time:
Empty elite trainer boxes can hold a little over 400 cards; this is a handy reference for how many cards to bring.

How to participate
Video Game Championship
Pro Tip: You really want to do 1-4 before you get to the venue!
- Know your PlayerID or get one!
- Register online for VG!
- Create your team in the Standard Video Game format.
- Place your team in your Battle Box!
- Print and fill out your team list!
- Charge your game the night before.
- Navigate to the Battle Box and shut/sleep your game.
- Enter the venue at 9am on February 14.
- Open/wake your game and hand it to the staff at the Battle Box table.
- Take back your game and go to the check-in table.
- Bring your filled out list to the player meeting.
Swiss rounds best 2 of 3 Saturday; Top Cut (8/16/32 depending on attendance Sunday)
Trading Card Championship
- Know your PlayerID or get one!
- Register online for TCG!
- Create a Legal Trading Card Game Format Deck
- Saturday Boundaries Crossed through Phantom Forces are OK – STANDARD Format
- Sunday Black & White through Phantom Forces are OK – EXPANDED Format
- You may change your deck, but if you do you need a new list on Sunday.
- All Standard Format decks are also Expanded Format decks
- Print and fill out your deck list:
- Masters – pay at the ticket booth.
- Enter the venue at 9am on February 14.
- Check in at the check-in table and get your wristband.
- Bring your filled out list to the player meeting.
Swiss rounds best 2 of 3 Saturday (Standard); Top Cut or T32 Swiss+Top Cut Sunday (Expanded)
Parents and Rides of Championship Players
Bringing someone but not playing? You can get a free wristband to be in the venue with your player. You can join side events, but not the main event. Each player can have 1 ride or up to 3 immediate family member wristbands. How do you get your wristband?
- Accompany your player as far as the check-in step.
- Sign up: print your name, players name and relationship.
- Speak to the nearby staff member who will review your sign in and give you a wristband.
Attend the Community Expo – 9am – 4pm
- Come to the ticket booth at 9am – 3pm.
- Pay $5
- Receive a wristband good for venue admission and enjoy:
- Big screen championship matches.
- Demonstrations of Trading Card and Video Game.
- Creative Center (Drawing Pokémon)
- Side Events (includes $5 credit toward 1 event)

- Eon Ticket – round 3 everyone receives one ticket good for a free seat constructed side event or VG/TCG Challenge event.

8 way battle for a Playmat – Trading Card Constructed – $5
Using a TCG Expanded format deck form up in 8 player pods to battle for a epic playmat with featured characters from the lastest expansion! These events will begin at round 6 on Saturday and will continue on Sunday.
Format decided per 8 person signup – Expanded or BLW-Primal Clash.
