Granada Hills Autumn Battle Road 2009

Bring a new Pokémon player – get a prize!

Our tradition at this location is to offer grab ‘piles’ of modified singles and promos – commons, uncommons, rares & holos! If you bring a friend that plays and hasn’t attended a Second City Gym event before, you will get an additional grab! That’s two fat piles of modified cards for you! You’ll also be entered in a drawing for a Pokemon cap! Just present your friend to the computer operator at registration.

Every player completing the event will receive one of our famous ‘grab piles’ of modified and promo cards.

In addition, we will have between rounds random goodness giveaways of packs or playmats or posters!

Video Game League

Bring your DS and Diamond, Pearl or Platinum game! We’ll be having video game battles between rounds and during top cut all day. Winning player in each match gets to pull two cards from our mystery box! The winner chooses which card to keep and the loser gets the other one! The card might be just a card, a holo, or a card that gets you a prize like a cap, notebook, pack or other Pokemon item.

Games will be played on the Pokemon Battle Revolution Wii stage using the official Double Cup rules.

Team Battle Tournament

During the main event top-cut final rounds we’ll have team battle tournaments, where you and a teammate pit your 60 card modifed deck vs another team. Check out the official rules and get those decks ready. Entry is $5 per team and there will be 4 packs of Supreme Victors to the winning team in each 8 team pod.

The PokeGym is sponsoring us to a decklist raffle and I’m adding in some prizes, too. Use the decklist creator on the PokeGym (on the PokeGym, mind you) to properly create your decklist and when you turn it in, you’ll automatically be entered into this raffle. Here are the steps to create the proper decklist:

  1. Go to http://PokeGym.net/decklist
  2. Click the “Blank Deck” link
  3. Fill in your decklist, letting the software help fill out the proper information.
  4. Fill in
    • Event Name
    • Player Information
    • Favorite Pokemon
  5. Now the tricky part – Locate the FILE button under the words “SteveP’s Deck List Program” and click it. Choose “Print” from that menu and print your list!
