The Advent of Arceus – Prereleases

Arceus LvX

Arceus LvX

We have some exciting developments for the upcoming Platinum — Arceus prereleases, the first of which is…

ARCEUS

…a card which provides you with type and attack flexibility. There will be many types of Arceus in the set, it seems, and they should all be able to level up into this card which allows you to pool their attacks. This is going to be an interesting development for the game!

Next, we have special features at each of our events for this prerelease.

Granada Hills 9:30am Registration on Saturday, October 24

The main event has a $25 entrance fee, and will be three rounds of play, with each finisher taking home the 6 packs used to make your deck and two bonus packs as participation prizes. While supplies last players will also get a foil-stamped promo card and a set of Arceus-themed sleeves.

Team Battle Side Event with 6 Packs

After the main event, we will offer Team Battle Sealed Side Events. These events will allow a team of two players to battle another team using Team Battle Rules. Each player receives 6 packs of Platinum — Arceus cards, plus promotional items while supplies last, for the $20 entry. The player opens all 6 packs and lists the quantities of each card on a set list. Then, this player joins a teammate to make two 40 card decks from their combined cards. After play, players use their filled out set lists to return each teammate’s original cards. The teams play single elimination tournament, with the first and second place teams receiving packs of diverse Diamond/Pearl or Platinum sets, according to the number of entrants in the tourney. Team Battle is a fun way for parents & children, siblings or friends to work together to try their combined forces against an opponent. Anyone who wants to play but doesn’t have a teammate, can tell the organizer and we’ll get you hooked up with another player to form your team. Start thinking of those team names now!

The contest is limited to event participants and judges decision is final, but the winners will be able to select one or more prizes from a prize table with the prizes listed below. Every event participant who dresses up, whether as a Pokemon theme or not, will get a Rayquaza coin or event pin!
